How is EdgeIOT different from traditional fleet/IoT solutions?
Unlike legacy systems locked to a single protocol or vendor, EdgeIOT supports 12 transport protocols simultaneously — MQTT, HTTP, WebSocket, and more — with no middleware gateway required. Your device data is unified automatically into one dashboard with full sensor history, instant alerts, and scheduled reports.
Which protocols does EdgeIOT support?
EdgeIOT supports 12 protocols: MQTT, MQTT over WebSocket, HTTP/HTTPS, TCP Raw, UDP, CoAP, AMQP, Modbus TCP, BLE Gateway, LoRaWAN NS, OCPP 1.6 (EV Charging), and Flespi Channel. A single device can transmit over multiple protocols simultaneously.
How does the 14-day free trial work?
Start immediately — no credit card required. You get full access to every feature for 14 days, including all 12 protocols, alerts, reports, and REST API. At the end of the trial, add a device and billing begins ($6/device/month), or the trial simply expires with no charges.
What does it cost after the trial?
Simple pricing: $6 per device per month, or $5.10/device/month billed annually (save 15%). Minimum $15/month (3 devices). No setup fees, no per-user charges, no hidden costs. See the Pricing section for full details. Pricing excludes VAT where applicable (78 countries supported).
Are there long-term contracts or vendor lock-in?
No lock-in. Monthly plans cancel anytime. Annual saves 15% but isn't required. Your device data and configurations remain accessible — contact support for export assistance if you ever leave.
How is data secured and encrypted?
All data is encrypted in transit via TLS 1.3 and at rest with AES-256. The platform runs on AWS with full tenant isolation. See the Security section for the full picture.
What is your target uptime?
We target 99.9% monthly uptime, with real-time infrastructure status shown in the Security section. Hosted on AWS multi-AZ infrastructure for resilience.
Can I self-host or run EdgeIOT on-premise?
EdgeIOT is currently a fully managed cloud service (SaaS). We handle infrastructure, updates, and security on your behalf. If you have on-premise requirements, contact us — we evaluate Enterprise cases individually.
What support options are available?

How does EdgeIOT handle device firmware updates?
EdgeIOT accepts firmware version as a standard sensor field. You can set automatic alerts when a device is detected on an outdated version. Actual firmware pushing is handled by your OTA provider; EdgeIOT provides the visibility and alerting layer.
